EMS training sessions can be run without the need for touring equipment. It would be shame however, to miss out on some backcountry action.
Shadowing Hours
Add to and improve the skills learnt on the official BASI courses.
All trainee instructors have to complete a given number of hours during their training period.
Shadowing should be seen as an opportunity to see the application in a real life situation of the techniques and skills learned on the training courses.
